This Thanksgiving Day, before the feast and football, lace up your running or walking shoes and meet Crestwood neighbors for some exercise and friendly competition for a good cause!

Whether you are a seasoned jogger competing for neighborhood bragging rights, or just looking for an excuse to reach for a  second slice of pie later in the day, the Crestwood Turkey Trot is the perfect way to get your 10,000 steps in, take advantage of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), and help benefit a local Crestwood non-profit, AOK.

The Crestwood Turkey Trot will feature a 1 mile family run/walk (strollers and wagons welcome) and a 5k fun run. The starting line is at The Triangle, near 18th & Argyle.

All registrants will receive a 2017 Crestwood Turkey Trot T-shirt!

All proceeds from this event will benefit All Our Kids, Inc.

All Our Kids, Inc. (AOK) is a DC-based nonprofit organization that began in the home of Crestwood residents David Simpson and Kathy Fletcher. Rooted in the large family dinners that Kathy and David host in their home on 17th St. every Thursday night, AOK is committed to building community to help young artists from underserved backgrounds acquire the knowledge, skills, self-confidence and connections they need to succeed in life and meet their creative potential. AOK uses a relationship-driven, family-style approach to develop trusting relationships with our young artists and identify their needs and dreams. Then we tap into the larger AOK community, many of whom live right here in Crestwood, to connect our young artists to the resources they need to reach their potential both as artists and young adults.

This website and the Crestwood Citizens Association is supported by the dues of CCA members. Membership has its benefits including access to members-only resources and the knowledge that you are supporting a great neighborhood!
